what is ment by these i know flats r used in intervals i just wanna know how to do them and also what is ment my sharps?

well....You have the octave of notes (8 notes) a b c d e f g a in between most of these there is another note, a kind of transition not, but there is no note between b an c and e and f (its just how music is dont ask why!) so flats and sharps can be both the same not but depending on which context they are used in so with the flats and sharps you have
# is a sharp
b is a flat
A, A# or Bb, (no sharps or flats), C, C# or Db, D, D# or Eb, E,(nosharp or flat), F, F# or Gb, G, G# or Ab then back to A
i think this is right anyway!
knowing me im probably completely wrong!
Oh and that was really hard to explain!

they sort of mean the same thing. a G# would be the same as an Ab. they have different names depending on the different keys you are in.
it could get a lil confusing at first...
