writing songs

I have been having trouble writing and composing songs. I come up with random licks, i come up with beats, and I can write lyrics, but i have no ability with putting them all together. I would enjoy a little help

try going to guitar noise, they have a songwriters forum there. I have found that by thinking about the eniter song as apposed to just bits and pieces. think in terms of telling a story, and all the emotions that would be you would use to give a dramatic reading

Guitarnoise is good! Also, try seperating the song into different parts, write down the mood, desiered tempo, and beat you want. Then take those licks and stuff and assighn them to a section of the song. This helps me alot.
