i have just recently bought a bass guitar and i need a bass amp. im pretty sure that i know the answer already, but are you able to play guitars through bass amps without problems? im pretty sure you can but i want to make sure. reason being, is that if i can buy a better bass amp, one with more power than my guitar amp, then i'd like to trade in my guitar amp to have more money for a bass amp.

so to narrow it down:
1. can i play guitar through a bass amp?
2. if yes, should i trade in my guitar amp to have more money for a bass amp?

you can play a guitar through a bass amp but not a bass through a guitar amp.. thats the simplest way to put it.

We used a keybaord amp. You can play anything thur one. We play a keybaord, guitar, and bass thru one amp. Sounds fine. Be sure to get one with a good equalizer on it though.
