does anyone know why eddie van halen doesnt put out an instramental album. some where along the lines of joe satriani but with more balls. Hes fallen off the world it seems. also does anyone know if there plans for a new singer.

tongue cancer and getting dropped by your label would make the motivation to create music hurt a little bit, I think...

There's a rumor EVH, Zakk Wylde, and Dimebag are going to record an album, now that would be bad ass!

Zakk called Eddie and Eddie hung up on him.

Eddie is very full of himself and apparently can't be bothered although alot of it might be health related. Also Eddie and Alex are mad at Michael Anthony for touring with Sammy and Dave last year.

I read an interview with Dime and Zakk and they mentioned that they wanted to do something with Van Halen... but that was the last i heard anything about it. That sucks that EVH hung up on them.

I believe I read the same article & they called him a few times (with a few extra toxins in their system in the middle of the night). But yeah, still sucks that he hung up on 'em each time.

fizz- he had 2 cases of tongue cancer. The first one they were able to beat with treatment. However, he started smoking again, and it came back, so they cut out a portion of his tongue... this is just here in case you havn't already looked up the information urself already and if you have well... uhh... this is confirmation!

What are you talking about, Van Halen's first CD may not be as loud and heavy as Zakk and Dime, but its still metal, and hes still a shredder, that CD would kick ass.... but if Zakk and Dime do CD together that will still kick major ass.

it seems like eddie did fall off the face of the earth. there was another interview in a later guitarworld that had sammy hagar. he was talking about how eddie was just never a happy guy, and something like, "when one of the greatest bands goes from 100 to zero, something's wrong." so apparantly he's kinda clueless himself.
