Well, i am a bassist and am looking how i can be a pro. I have tried few tunes like fieldy, flea, cliff burton, jason. Now how do i take things out by ear. I dont have the money to buy some perfect pitch stuff. And if i have to take out from a person playing in EADG tuning does that mean i have to tune it that way. I mean i could use my own tuning but it will be harder right? Anyone knows where perfect pitch training is free. in cybefret it isnt complete, i think.

well to tune a guitar/bass to perfect pitch is not somthign you can really learn ya most likey got to be born wiht musical talent... OR spend 12 hours a day none stop for about 3 years just tunning... go out with 12 bucks adn get a little tuner that will show ya perfect pitch and help ya listen to what it sounds like.
as for peoples tunning... if they are tunned EADG ya most likely need to be in that tunning to soudn some what like them... if your in a differnt tunning the guitarists have to be tunned liek you also for it to fit together... they ya got to play the smae notes on differnt frets and it can wind up being MUCH harder
to be a pro man.. ya might need to go get lessosn from a pro then in abotu 3 years get a badn going.. then work at it for about 6-12 years and hope lady luck smiles down on you
