k ive been playing bass for about 3 years now and im tryed of it and wanna switch to electric becuse its alot more fun. im trying to think of what i should buy. my bass is a Squier P-bass, which sucks ass and ill never buy anything from Squier again. im looking towards gettin a MIM fender strat but im not sure, plus i need a new amp for it, which my freind suggested a Peavey Bandit. my price range is about 300-500, and i need something to play all sorts of music, cuase i love playing power chords and like playing blues aswell


any help will be much appreciated.

MIM strat is pretty good, peavey bandits are kinda jack of all trades but master of none, u might want to look @ some marshall amps the avt series sounds decent

Marshals are a bit out of his price range, dont ya think? What about getting a lower end Ibanez. I have one, and I can play all sorts of music on it (yes, even blues). Jackson are out of your price range. ESP has a V sort of guitar that is only like $399.99. Save up a little axtra and get that.

the marshall avt20 costs 'bout US$300

By reading the name, it looks like it is only 20 watts. He should get something even bigger just in case he tries to get into a band any time soon.
