useless members.

i was just a bit bored now, at 1:24 am, and was looking at the member list. as i was browsing, i noticed that the last 139 pages were filled with members with zero posts. thats 1390 members taking up space on the server with no purpose, and thats not counting any of the people that have only 1 or 2 posts. add them in and you probably have 1500+ useless members. so i was thinking couldnt they all be deleted and thus improve the performance of the boards?

I deleted a bunch of members about a month ago. And I will go though and delete some more shortly. If they actively view the board, but do not post I will not delete them. Lurking is allowed as long as they have signed up and activated their account. There are a ton of people that sign up and don't go through the activation process for their account. So they show up as members even though they are not active. They will be deleted..... I would say that is the greatest number of dead accounts that you see. Most of the time they just don't receive the activation email because the sign up with a bogus email address.

ahhh i never knew that member list was there. i feel so special, not only am i number 8 out of the top 10 posters(hahaha i have more than cyberfret:p ) but i am the only member whos screen name starts with g taht has more than 1000 posts. man im good.
