I know about that sign but how does it work, I forget if it makes the note natural for the measure/bar or for the entire piece of music?

If you're talking about the natural sign from the other thread, it works like this:

A natural sign will end its effectiveness at the end of a measure. It doesn't have to 'naturalize' that note for the whole measure, though. You can put the natural sign in front of note 'X' and all of that note after note 'X' will be natural unless they have a sharp or flat sign in front of them.
