Hi I been playing for months now ans I owned an electric Yamaha EG303. Yeah, a piece of @&*^. I Know chords, names of the neck, some scales, and can play most songs if tabbed out. Do you think I should start looking for a new guitar? Or should I learn more. I know I'm still begginig but I dont want my guitar to hold me back.
I mean, this guitar only have 1 tone, and doesn't seem to have harmonics in it. What do u guys think? Should I get A new one?

Dude, if you wanna buy a new guitar go for it! But you can still learn on the guitar you have. Just make sure you change the strings regularly (sumtimes I find that crusty strings make it harder to do pinch harmonics). If you buy a new guitar, it won't necessarily make you learn more, it might help you in playing e.g comfortability, but it won't necessarily make you learn more.

I agree with smfulla, even if your guitar is a piece of junk,it won't hold you back when it comes to learning, but if u dont like what u have now i say go for a new one. i feel it's very important that you love your guitar...that way it will always be close to you:)
Basically,if u have the money and you're not fully pleased with your current guitar,go for it!

I dont even have a guitar, I dont have money to get one. I sometimes use my friend's but I'm such a bother, I feel , I stopped asking her to lend me the guitar. so all I do now is watch her play and pray for the day to come when I can afford to get my own.
So VictorME you should be thankful you even HAVE a guitar.
