I recently found out that C is Do, D is Re, and so on. My question is: Lets supposed a have a song like Holy Night. Its goes like

Hooooly night

It is correct to play C chord on the "hoooooly" part since "ho" recembles Do and do is C?
Its this a good way to put music to songs? Or am I far from what it is?

Thank You:p

:) ....you are far from what it is. Those solfage syllables will have nothing to do with words in the lyrics.

there are two modes of solfeggio
fixed do, where c is always do
and movable do, where the first degree of the scale is do.
