I am wondering if anyone knows of a computer program that will help in learning to read music. like a flash card program or something similar.

^That'll put you at lesson 1 {NOTE: links to each of the rest of the lessons can be found at the very bottom of the page of lesson 1 so just follow them in order}

Try this: musictheory.net
This site is great for general theory lessons and it has Trainers for note reading,intervals etc.
I think this might be what you are looking for.

If you don't mind spending the money, go out to Borders or Barnes and Nobles. They have a decent selection of books on reading music and music theory that are explained in good detail. If you just want to stick around on the computer try... www.guitarnoise.com ... it has some useful information.
