Roots Music/Tuning to F

This question is for anyone who either has the tab book for the O' Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack or just knows I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow. What tuning is the song in? my instructor thought it was tuned to open F, was he right? If so, how do you tyune that, and if not, what is it in?
