file upload maximum

would it be possible to raise the maximum file size for attachments on posts to maybe...50k? i very frequently want to post powertab files and such on posts, but i cant because the max upload size is 1 byte. would this be in any way possible?

There are no attachments allowed. This has to do with bandwidth, server space, viruses, pornography, etc, etc...
