hi all.
im now in some band that have taken me on.
i wanna know how to like..
cope!
gigging every saturday at pubs..
and i wanna organise myself between practise - school - and hopefully a job.
anyone else out there in my situation?
keep in mind im 16 k!

im 17 and in roughly the same situation.

i just completely forsake EVERYTHING for practice.

i'm not in that situation but i dont think you should forsake anything for the sake of another...especially your education. The way i see it, that comes before all..
Practice will get in the way of your studies,and your studies will get in the way of practice, and the solution is not to eliminate one, but to work harder to be fair to both.
So that's just it,you can't get anything easily, you just have to work double now.And im sure that if u put your mind to it you can make it:)
and if being in a band doesn't affect any other obligations, such as how well u do in school, your dad shouldn't mind at all.

but my dads really hot headed and really doesnt like the fact that im playing in a pub.

Ask him to come along and watch you play! he can't say no then...maybe then in future gigs he won't be so hard headed about the whole thing. give it a try :)

you wanna know how to cope..........life is short man......have the time of your life your 16 and playing gigs......think how good your gonna be when your 20 use it as a learning experience. more power to you. when iwas 16 i was excited about getting my license!!!!!!! and your playing gigs cool!!!!
