i'm a beginner, i have playing an acoustic for some time now, and i'm looking for a good electric guitar at a low price, that has got everything a beginner needs in his first electric guitar.
the one i found on the net that looked to me as a good choice is the squier standard stratocaster- according to what i read, it is exactly like the one from fender, so i suppose it is the perfect choice for a first electric guitar.
since i live in a country somewhat "far" from the rest of the world, i think that the only way that i can get it by ordering through the net... which i don't know if it is a good idea... is this guitar is a good choice? is ordering through net proccess a good way to obtain it?

ive actually got a squier strat stashed away somewhere, and i like it, its a good beginner-level guitar.

only problem is the pickups. which suck.

but considering its price you shouldn't expect to much anyway

hey dude, I'm not sure how big portugal is, but I know another guy who got an ESP from his local music shop. It was an explorer. Sooo if you don't feel like paying for handling and shipping, check out you're local music stores, they might have an awesome deal.
But for the guitar side, I suggest an Ibanez RG. They are totally cool, and the stock pickups are nice! =] Or you could go old school with a fender strat, or samick strat, or practically any other company's name before 'strat'. But personally I don't like strats, they look ugly to me. And I've heard some crap stuff about them. Only played through a fender strat once, and it felt really bulky and blocky. They're pretty heavy too.

i wouldn't get the squire cuz u won't want to play it when u get better(me at least)

u could get a fender fat strat(mexican=cheaper), ibanez rg550 & above(if u want a floyd)& jackson dkmg or rr3(looks awesome!)
