Fender ga series

I played a Fender ga43s recently at a local shop and I really liked it. It has a solid spruce top and mahogany body. The question I have is c0ncerning the body style. It is 'grand auditorium' and appears to be smaller than your average dreadnaught (lending to it's comfort while playing). Is size the only differince in the body styles? What are some of the advantages or disadvantages of a 'ga' style guitar. I am thinking of purchasing it for about $400 so any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
