3 Octave Arpeggios

I kinda just picked the axe, so I have no idea what 3 octave arpeggios are. So somebody enlighten me...

By the way, when playing scales, I could use triads, add9 arpeggios and add12 arpeggios, right?
So how do I make everything flow?
