They are hand made guitars. Popular belief is that they are the highest quality instrument out there. I disagree with that. All the PRS I have played were very nice instruments, but not worth the price tag! They were by far better than my ESP... but they are also over 4x the price! AND NOT 4x the quality!

Well, if you are looking for top quality I highly recommend The Heritage. They are what gibson used to be. Gibson began in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in the early 80s they moved to Nashville. That was the end of good quality Gibsons. The people that worked in Kalamazoo did not want to relocate their settled families, so they bought the plant off gibson. That is what The Heritage are. I am not sure what their website is, but their quality surpasses PRS and GREATLY surpasses Gibson's quality. They are offered for the same price as gibsons as well.

regarding the heritage...i called two dealers and they told me the heritage guitars arent very good except for the first couple years they were made. I'm in chicago a major market for musicians and that seemed to be the popular answer i'm gonna call one other dealer and see what they say.

I played a bunch of brand new Heritage, they completely blew me away. I was in awe at the level of quality they had. The dealer near me that carries them is all about quality and he hates gibson and PRS. His store is for the people that are in the hand made market. I love going in there and drooling over the guitars he has for sale.
