so are you looking for a combo or say like a half stack or full?
If you're going for a combo, I'd suggest the Ashton GA 100. It has a heck of alot of grunt, 3 channels, footswitchable I think. Reverb, footswitchable. Stereo chorus (depending on which model you get), footswitchable.
That's around 200 and something pounds.

Ummm as for the half stack, I'm not sure you'll find anything (except for sumthing pretty cheaply made) for 300 pounds. Coz you gotta get a head, and then a cab. But look around anyway.

I have heard nothing but praises from this guitar teacher I know, about the Boss GT-5. I've heard him play through it too. You can get a multitude of sounds, and they're like prgramable as well or something. It comes with amp models as well =] You can get a rectifier through a half stack or full stack. You can change where the mic is placed, and all that =] So you might wanna take a look at that. Comes with expression pedal as well. Other than that, I'd recommend anything boss, dod, zoom, digitech. Coz i've heard nothing but awesome stuff about them. Not too much about zoom tho =]

The best thing to do is find a way to use your current setup, but add something to it to make it better. I had my 2x12 combo, it wasn't enough, so I bought a 4x12 cab to add on to it. From there I got a preamp and power amp, now it's a whole different rig, but I spread the costs out. So, get something that will work with what you have, but is ultimately intended for something you want to get in the future. 4x12 cabs are the best thing for making your sound better, and you can put different amps on top of them!
