I think the bassist of Pantera looks cool.

i would say flea if he wore a bit mreo clothing :D

sam rivers is always cool on stage.. he jsut does his thing but really rocks out at the same time

its hard to say... every body has their style and look i cant really say if there is a best LOOKING bassist

It's not about how you look, it's about how you play. This makes a real musician. Not long hair and a cigarette between his teeth. Anyway, apart from what I've said, I can't think of any cool-looking bassist... Not that bassists ain't cool, but I hardly go to concerts or watch music videos.

I went to a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert on Saturday (10/25) and I have to say that whoever their new bassist is was cool. And so was their last guy with the funky top hat or whatever you want to call it.

actually rob is a excellent bassist.. he is a very well trained standup bassist.. and he is to a certian degree better then jason... ALTHOUGH jason was a way better fit for metallica

If cool you mean,i catching or somthing like that, i would say Tyr from Emperor,Steve Digiorgio(Death,Sadus,Iced Earth),ohh and of course Alex Webster(Cannibal Corpse).....but i agree with what was said above who really cares if they cannot play well then it does not matter...and all these dudes are insane,also anoter dud could be Eric Longals from Crytopsy cool lokking style and awsome player.:D

I'll second this one he wears his bass down to his knees and has hair hanging down in front of his face. Usually Rexx has a nice snarl going on when playing something evil in the low registers lol.

i think the coolest looking bass player is the one for smashing pumpkins. it's the girl right? i dont know the band that well i just like girl bass players and i couldnt think of any bass players who look cool :| except for me!! BWA HA HA!

the bassist from mudvayne........he is absolutly awesome. just the way he plays his bass makes me envy him. he by far has the best playing style of any bassist i have ever seen

well,
i think john myung(Dream theater) looks way cooler than anyone else.
he never looks to be tensed , even when he is playing "Dance of eternity" it's a tough number, try playing it.

I think Jason Newstead probably looked the least cool. He had this goofy, clumsy thing about him. His t shirt was always tucked into his jeans, and his jeans were up to his nipples. Have u ever seen that video during a live concert, playing Bellz, where he trips up and lies flat on his face?! Hilarious. Hes a sound guy tho, gotta lotta respect for him. I love the Echobrain album he released too, this album is FANTASTIC. For those of you who havent listened to it, do so now. I think POPMUSIC_SUX would appreciate it, knowing his musical tastes.

its cause he learned to play stand up bass.. adn with it that low he can hold it almost strait up and down and he can play faster with it like that cause he is a finger bassist
