I come from the legendary guitar.com, and i demand a misc forum! We miscers are unique individuals, and i demand one for here. It can change many lives.

a misc forum is not needed here, this is a guitar forum not a chit chat forum.

You bring a good point, but when guitarist need to talk about their daily lives, and just need someone to talk to , or unwind, a MISC forum would be very appropriate.

then they can either PM someone, talk to someone on AIM, or go to another message board. there isnt as real need for a misc board.

I visit this forum 2-3 times a day looking for advice/tips etc.. about the guitar during my short breaks from either playing guitar or working. I don't want to have to sift through lots of posts that have nothing to do with guitar, if I want that I'll go to a chat forum.

Fizz nailed it, www.ratbit.com is an excellent off topic miscellaneous forum. Alot of us Cyberfretters meet over there for off topic chat.

Metallicka also raises a great point.This is a great learning environment here and you can search the forums and find alot of useful info.It would defeat that purpose if there were a bunch of yahoos here yucking it up!

I think it would be nice to have a drummers and vocalist lounge so they could get advice from one another and also take part in our polls.

Just a thought.

I think Shawn wants to keep this board just for guitar so it stays more focused and he can be as much help as possible to the members. I'm sure there are other forums out there for singers and drummers run by guys who can give them the best advice.
