Hi
i`m playing the rhythm-guitar in my ska band. I`ve learned a lot on this site. But the lead-guitarist dont know what he should do. Can you give me some tips?

Well if your lead guitar player doe snot knwo what he is doing and you do, maybe you should be lead for a little while. Not to be mean but you knwo what I mean. Anyways to your question for what he should do. Thats kidn of hard because it is so general. If you are making up your own songs then there really is not mucht o say, just play your music. I am not being very much help. Have him play some cover sogn with yuo guys so he can get the feel of playing with the band and getting to know one each other. When he gets thatd own then ti may be best to move on. So i may not of been much help but hopefulyl alittle.

Just have him do more complex upstroke patterns over yours and make up solos. Ska isn't that tough really.

make up riffs using major scales.
