anyone wanna rattle off some intermediate bass songs?
keep in mind my particular taste in music and the fact that up here at school they put up a firewall so I can't download anything :(

Indeed, I have the last two three doors down cd's so I could learn some of that.
The only song I really remember from my gig in June is the Starting Line's "Best of Me" but \ I changed around with it so much it was nothing like the original recording.
Right now I'm in the process of learning RHCP's "By the Way" and "Scar Tissue." Decent challenge, at least since I haven't played much since Summer.

I guess I'll go ahead and learn Papa Roach's "Between Angels and Insects." Just gotta find a way to play it on a 4 string... I'll think of something...

Not so much a big Megadeth fan, I usually listen to stuff that has really easy bass parts (finch and the like) or really hard stuff (RHCP and the like) I'm more into the mellower type of music, which sadly enough, does not have very challenging bass parts... or very challenging bass parts... but not much in between, which is where I'm at right now

I tried can't stop, I think I'll try to learn it.
I looked on mxtabs.net (it was just easier) and it said to turn it down to C for papa roach, I did it and except for a little bit of buzzing it sounded pretty good.

If youre feeling up for a challenge, you could try some of Primus'/Les Claypool's stuff. They have a lot of innovative bass lines.

pop! i'm so disapointed in you! :( ;)
try iced earth stuff. not to hard and some of it is somewhat mellow. try ghost of freedom. im not sure if it even has a bass in it right now though. it's the only one i can tthink of that's mellow. actually in-a-gadda-da-vida is really fun and somewhat easy

yeah that's it, boy was I exhausted last night.
I think I'll learn Times Like These from the Foo Fighters, as soon as I get an amp that actually works. I've figured out some of the guitar part already...
