Lessons Please

Well, I picked up a cheap bass yesterday. Now I just need to learn how to play the thing. I am looking for beginner lessons and the such, but cannot find anything on it. Any site I seem to to go doesn't seem to have much of a beginners area. Maybe I'm just missing it.

Also, I'm really not sure exactly where I stand in the thing. I can play The Temples of Syrinx part of 2112, and half ass my way through The Ace of Spades.

I know someone, somewhere knows where I can find what I'm looking for. Any help is appreciated.

I did a Google and found several sites that looked OK to me
http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...guitar+lessons

I'm sure Daedra can point you to a specific site.

After some more searching I stumbled onto some sites that helped me. I believe the lack of my finding any was in my wording while searching. Unfortunately I have been without a computer (the first post up there was from my brother's laptop that I happened to 'aquire' for a little while). I do appreciate the help though Malcolm.

Having been a guitar player for years, I recently took up the Bass, and alot of what applies to the guitar also applies to the Bass as well, such as slides, hammer ons and pull offs, scales, and the like. its sort of like taking guitar tecnique's and applying them to 4 strings instead of 6.

I think study bass is the best logically presented approach with examples and practice exercises.
